    Fall Festival Fun!

Fall Festival is fast approaching! One of my daughter’s favorite parts of Fall Festival is petting the animals (trying not to get sheep fur on her lollipop).

    Earthquake Shakes Messiah Village

Where were you when the earthquake erupted? I was sitting in my chair in the Administration Suite at Messiah Village at 8:25 this morning when the earthquake hit. I did not know what I was experiencing. I thought it was a coworker pushing a cart through the door.

A buzz began to sweep the Village as people found out an earthquake had actually come through. Several of the comments I heard were:

    • “I thought it was the air conditioning vent coming on.”
    • “I thought it was the jack hammer near the wellness center.”
    • “I thought it was a dining cart passing by.”

Needless to say, the buzz generated from this earthquake just about mirrored the magnitude of the actual quake that measured 3.1 on the Richter scale.

So, where were you when the earthquake hit? Do you have memories of larger earthquakes hitting?
